Day 82 -- January 28

*Sekoia thinks it's the end of the world when her toy falls off the bed..... They were waiting for me to get up! We didn't get back from Philly until about 1:30am Wednesday night and I was lucky to have Thursday off work to recover!

*Tundra all cuddled up...typical!

*Austin on his new stilts! See the video at the bottom :)

*My "fixed" hair -- it won't do what I want it to for a few months but it definitely looks better than it did. I don't even have to style it too much in the morning (since it won't do it anyways) so that'll be interesting...I do, however, prefer that my hair be in its spot how I like it. This will take some getting used to. I can't wait until spring when it's grown back out!

*Fixed hair cut. It'll look better after I get a hold of it in the morning!

*Austin on his new stilts...kind of creepy how easy it is for him to walk, jump, jog, etc on them....

Day 81 -- January 27

*Mom's Philly Cheese Steak Hogies! Gotta love street vendors in front of Independence Hall! Gina M. (our Tech Director), Shinn & I got our food here while the others went a few blocks away (they couldn't find parking). You GOTTA have a hogie from Philly!

*SO COOL! What a historic place! I want to go on the tour! I must go back to Philly!

*Mom's Philly Cheese Steak Hogies! -- Featured in Bill Gates' magazine :)

*The Liberty Bell & Independence Hall

*The Liberty Bell & Independence Hall

*The Liberty Bell

*Gina & I in front of the Liberty Bell! SO COOL!!!!!!!!! I wish we would have been able to stay downtown longer than 18 minutes!

*Shinn in front of the Liberty Bell in downtown Philly! He's so excited!

*My Philly Cheese Steak Hoggie from Philadelphia! YUMMM (yes...it did have ketchup on it....hey, the vendor asked if I wanted any!) lol

*Jamie Schlack, the backseat warrior!

*Shinn complaining about something! Schlack, Shinn & I enjoyed our close to 20 hours in the car together! What a riot! We did a lot of processing and getting to the root of the problem....hahaha and apparently I have trust issues (see garmin picture below....)

*Oh, Garmin how I should have trusted you instead of trying to follow Ron from the beginning. We now have a loving relationship and I hope to one day purchase a Garmin of my very own! "TRUST THE GARMIM!" -- How many times did Shinn & Schlack tell me that!?!?!?

*Sunset over some river in Pennsylvania!

*Beautiful sunset through the windshield somewhere in Pennsylvania (even though it's out of focus, the color is amazing!)

*Driving thru the mountain (literally...thru!) on the way home :)

Day 80 -- January 26

Off to Philadelphia we go! Eight of us drove from Milan to Bedford, PA today (approx 5 1/2 hours) where we stayed the night before heading on to Philly on Wednesday. We arrived in the amazing (sarcasm...) town of Bedford and got checked into the hotel right before 9pm. Little did we know that the town closed down at 9pm...no fast food either! We did, however, come across this gem of a restaurant...the Country Apple. Downstairs was the only bar open in town and the weekly darts tourney was a big hit for the locals. We chose to sit upstairs in the main dining area where we could have a little more room to spread out....which we had plenty of as they only stayed open for us! What a night!

*We were greeted with a lay-z-boy when we first walked in to The Country Apple....Terry had to test it out....
*Jamie & Jeff discussing what looks good (or edible) on the menu.... Notice the border in the background....
*Leah, Casey & Ron discussing the prime choice for dinner locations!
*Shinn & Bigham discussing the many local attractions that make Bedford so nice!
*Well, the menu choices ranged from burgers to burgers to meatloaf (tonight's special) to pizza. Leah, Casey & I went for the pizza. Little did we know it was served with tortilla chips & MICROWAVED! Or in Leah's case...still cold.... Unbelievable! The waitstaff also forgot Jamie Schlack's burger....and then gave her raw fries... I really think they didn't know what to do with all of us in there! We threw them for a loop!

Day 79 -- January 25

*My student, Micah, and his new hair style!

Day 78 -- January 24

*Having fun with my new pens & my iPod when I was supposed to be grading...

*I love these new pens!

Day 76 -- January 22

*One of my wonderful video classes from 1st semester...They kept me on my toes.....

*Game night at MCofC :) Fun times! Catch Phrase is a crowd pleaser as is ping-pong, where Austin dominates!

*I told Gma C and Austin to look at each other so I could take a picture...I meant for them to look at ME so I could take a picture! Cute nontheless! :)

*Dad & Gma Jones! So cute!

Day 75 -- January 21

*Students filming their music video :) Look at those dance moves in the camera LCD! :) I love it when their creativity comes out!

Day 74 -- January 20

*Studio Time!!!!! Redline Studios Crew hard at work!

Day 73 -- January 19

*Hi, Mom! We don't look alike... and WHAT'S WITH THE FEATHERED 80's HAIR??? (not you mom, ME!)

Day 72 -- January 18

*Oh my stupid hair. What's up with the one side and the rather large bump and then the rest on that side being flat...and what's with the other side...it looks pretty good! But they don't quite go together...and don't even get me started on the back! (AND DON'T EVEN SAY IT LOOKS GOOD -- YOU'LL ONLY BE LYING!)

Day 70 -- January 16

My baby brother is 23 years old today! Whoa! That's crazy! What a weekend we've had. Grandpa Campbell was taking down treestands on Jan. 14 (Thurs) and came in and told my grandma that he wasn't feeling right. After some deliberating and convincing, Grandma took him to Saline Hospital. Good news -- he hadn't had a heart attack...yet...but all the symptoms were right for it. They transferred him to St. Joe's Thursday late afternoon and got him prepared to do either a stress test or a heart catherization on Friday.

After his enzime numbers were much higher than they wanted, they decided to give him a heart cath on Friday. He went in about 2:30 and came out about 3:30pm. Mom called me while I was getting ready to go get my hair cut to let me know that the docs put a stint in where my gpa had a 95% blockage. As much as she tried to convince me that he was okay and everything was fine now, I still had a terrible feeling. 6 years ago on January 19, I missed being with my great grandma in her final moments by 10 minutes because I didn't have my phone on me. This was already on my mind and I kept getting this feeling that I should be at the hospital, not getting my hair cut. Well...Katie, who normally does my hair, is out on maternity leave... so Jessica is filling in for her. I walked in and Jessica proceeded to negate everything I asked for for my hair. She even asked me what kind of scissors Katie uses on my hair so she could know how to cut it....I should have LEFT RIGHT THEN. But my mind was on other things and I just wanted my hair cut so I could get up to the hospital. She finally started cutting it and gave me a TERRIBLE haircut. She didn't thin it so the main layers wouldn't hold any shape... She also cut the top layer really short... Basically, I had 3 different hair styles...the left side, the right side & the back. AND SHE GAVE ME BANGS!?!?! What!?!? It was terrible. She also told me that people like us (she was a bigger girl) have to watch how short we cut our hair because it has a tendency to make our faces look fatter. Wonderful. Thank you. I just met you 20 minutes ago. Get me out of here! By the time I left I drove to the hospital in tears. Little did I know what was waiting for me there......

Once I got to the hospital I attempted to comb out the layers of hairspray Jessica had put on my hair. I went in to Grandpa's CCU room where my mom told me that he had to have another heart cath because something else was going on -- he was in so much pain in his head & chest that they actually gave him a cat scan to make sure he wasn't having a stroke! Back to the 2nd floor we went to wait for the 2nd heart cath. Finally, all came out well and good. I was able to go to dinner with Nancy & Chris at Nancy's! Nancy had made homemade alfredo sauce (so delicious!) and we had our own pasta bowls, etc and watched Dirty Dancing: Havanah Nights. What a day!

So by the time Saturday rolled around, we were all worn out. Went and visited Grandpa at the hospital before family came over to celebrate Austin's birthday that evening. Grandpa had a HILARIOUS nurse that kept us all laughing...talking about her crazy cat...whew did she keep us cackling! So good for my grandpa though. Once family started coming over, the younger ones headed to the basement to play Band Hero (which I got for Xmas) -- too funny!

Happy Birthday Austin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully next year won't be so eventful!

*Austin playing Band Hero

*Trying to get my mom to sing "Kung Fu Fighting" (I think that's the right song!)

Day 67 -- January 13

*Apparently my boss doesn't want to get rid of me too bad...Here's the note I came in to find on my desk calendar today! What a great guy! :) P.S. It MADE MY DAY!

*You know...... hahahaha

Day 66 - January 12

*Oh the mess that my desk has been recently. No wonder I don't sleep well...I think my brain looks the same!

Day 62 - January 8

*My FINISHED cable scarf :) LOVE IT!!!
*Snowmobiling on my property! Looking from the back towards the front!
*Look at all that land! :)

Wow. I've finally caught up on my blog. I see I missed a few days in there...oops! Oh well. I'm back on track now. Beautiful snowfall today and everyone's hoping for a snow day tomorrow.... I say don't count on it. Seems whenever everyone is hoping for it is the time that it sure doesn't happen. It sure is gorgeous out though!
